WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?

Ruth Noden
In the fall of 2003 Ruth Noden started Ruth’s Pet Hotel on five acres of farmland in the beautiful Pemberton Valley. She has been around animals all her life be it bunnies, birds, dogs, cats, or horses. She is an ardent supporter of animal rights, is a dog trainer, has her level one equestrian coaching certificate, and has managed to put animals ahead of people her entire life. She makes the rules at the Hotel and dogs come first.

Jeff Van De Mark
Jeff Van De Mark joined Ruth and ergo Ruth’s Pet Hotel in 2004. A carpenter by trade he initially looked after the ever-present expansion and maintenance issues at the hotel. In 2006 he quit carpentry all together to aid in the growing business. He has an excellent rapport with all the dogs and a particular compassion with those who are a bit more needy or difficult. Together Ruth and Jeff form an excellent complimentary team to head up the Hotel.

Evelyn and Gunner
They have both been with Ruth’s Pet Hotel intermittently since 2018. They enjoy caring for the business and tending to property maintenance, all while soaking up their daily fix of puppy love. She takes pride in helping create a safe, welcoming space where every dog feels right at home.

Megan Biluk and Fuji
She has been with us since January 2024, bringing a lifelong love of dogs and the great outdoors with her, making this role a perfect fit. Her positive, gentle aura has a magical way of putting both dogs and guests at ease, leaving everyone she meets a little bit enchanted.

Liz La Liberte and Alice
Liz has been part of the team since 2024 and quickly discovered that this is a pretty great way to spend a workday. With a passion for dog training and continuous learning, she fits right in. Liz is also exceptionally handy and always ready to help keep our property and tools in top shape.

Raven Lacombe and Dakota
Raven and Dakota joined our team in the fall of 2025. With a lifelong connection to dogs, Raven (and her adorable sidekick Dakota) quickly knew that spending their days outdoors as part of a happy pack was the right lifestyle choice. We’re lucky to have them brightening our days and adding even more joy to the team.
